About Armstrong County Housing Authority

The Housing Division provides staff support to the Non Profit Housing Corporation (NPHC) and manages a variety of housing assistance programs designed to help income qualified and special needs individuals. When developing the County's housing programs, data outlined in the 2008 Armstrong County Housing Needs Analysis or Census Data has been utilized. Those programs include:

- HOME Program - A housing rehabilitation grant program for income qualified homeowners who need general home improvements that are code deficiencies. To apply, download and complete the Housing Rehabiliation Program Intake Form.

- PA Access Program - A county-wide handicap accessibility improvements grant program for the permanently disabled living in rental and owner occupied housing. To apply, download and complete that Housing Rehabilitation Program Intake Form.

- USDA, Rural Development Loan Packager Program - Program in which application assistance is provided to apply for home purchase or construction loans (502 ) or rehabilitation grants/loans (504) for funding consideration by the Federal Government's Rural Development Office.
